Horsemanship Level 4: Vet & First Aid
The Vet & First Aid section of Level 4 Horsemanship is very similar to the Level 3 requirements, the difference being you are expected to know the subject more thoroughly.
8. Vet & First Aid. T, P, R; Identify minor wounds; cause, care & treatment.

- Minor wounds & treatment: 'Keep Calm and Stop the Bleeding First'
At level 4 you may be asked to demonstrate taking your horse's vital signs, or to show in the first aid kit what materials you would use to treat a wound. However, you will not be asked to apply bandages until level 5.
No Mounted Combat Class this Week
Please note there is no Intermediate Mounted Combat this week. The next and final class of the series will be on June 24th. If you have your Green Spur and would like to arrange private practice time for this week please contact Jen at jennifer(at)academieduello.com.

Friday Clinics
Friday evening clinics are a chance to focus on specific skills throughout the summer. Each clinic will feature a different equine activity, such as Mounted Games, Mounted Sparring, Prix Fiore, Cross Country, Dressage, etc. More details to come!

Riding & Horsemanship Classes
Starting June 13th we will be running Monday evening Riding & Horsemanship classes. Saturdays will resume in July, and in the last weeks of summer we’ll run classes on Mondays and Thursdays to prep you for Carosella 2016!

Intro to Mounted Combat
Back by popular demand, this 3-hour workshop will introduce you to grooming and handling horses, riding, and swordplay from the ground and horseback. The perfect way to start the summer!
Horseback Archery
Robert Borsos will be back on July 17th for another fabulous day of Horseback Archery. This is the last workshop before Carosella and they tend to fill up, so sign up soon!
Carosella 2016
Three fabulous days of Mounted Combat, Archery and Games! The dates have been set for September 9th – 11th. Registration isn’t yet open, but you can look at last year’s schedule to get an idea of what’s on offer, and start planning your training now.
