The official announcements are out. Our stage combat instructor David McCormick is slated to teach Basic level Sword at this year's Fight Directors Canada National Workshop. It will be held in Montreal, at Concordia University.

The 2013 National Certification Workshop
Fight Directors Canada is the National Certification body dedicated to the teaching and development of Dramatic Combat for stage and film in Canada.
Also the Professional Fight Directors Association, FDC works with its professional Colleagues and Post-Secondary partners to offer internationally recognized accreditation in the art form.
Training Programs
The FDC Nationals in Montreal this year offers 5 levels of certification programs in 15 weapon systems, from rapier to Broadsword and Shield, from Unarmed combat to Found Weapons (whatever you find). All FDC Courses and levels are designed for actors, directors, choreographers, drama and movement educators and combat enthusiasts.
FDC and its Standards are taught in all major College and University Drama Programs from coast to coast and their members work in every professional theatre company in the country.
