November is the last month of the year in which we hold regular Cavaliere Program workshops and classes, and this month we've packed in one extra to let you get as much saddle time as possible before the weather forces all but the most waterproof souls indoors.

November Workshops and Classes

Introduction to Mounted Combat
Sunday 3 November, 10am - 12:30pm
cost: $99 + gst

Experience the childhood fantasy of being a knight as you take the first step in Academie Duello’s mounted combat program. This unique workshop brings together swordplay, riding, and horsemanship into an exciting session geared toward beginners. Those who wish to continue on to the afternoon's Mounted Workshop (below) can add it on for only $50 (a savings of $10).

Mounted Combat Workshop

Sunday 3 November, 1pm - 4pm
cost: $60 + gst ($50 if combined with Intro to Mounted Combat, above)

At our stables in Richmond you will work from the ground, from the falsemount, and, for those with riding experience, from horseback, learning: how to deliver different strikes and defenses from the back of a horse

how to deal with a series of blows from other riders
how to protect your horse
how to throw/counterthrow a rider
how to employ the spear and lance in combat

Cavaliere Classes
Sundays, 1- 4:30pm
10, 17 & 24 November
cost: $60 + gst; $200 for package of 4

In this series of workshops participants will cover the Horsemanship material needed to progress through the ranks of the Cavaliere Program. Group Riding lessons of 30-45 minutes at various levels. Optional guided weapons drills are included in the last portion of class, following on from the monthly Mounted Combat workshop.

Cavaliere Flex Packages

The Integrated Packages are being phased out (though you can still purchase them until the end of 2013). Our two new packages are:

Basic Package: $200 for 4 credits ($50 per workshop or class)

Deluxe Package: $480 for 12 credits ($40 per workshop or class)

A credit can be used for any of the following:

Cavaliere Class
Mounted Combat Workshop
Intro to Mounted Combat
45 minute private or semi-private riding lesson
60 minute group lesson

You must register for classes at least 48 hours in advance. Otherwise, regular drop-in rates of $60 per session will apply.
