Heigh ho, it's a new year! Before we launch back into the Blue Spur curriculum I thought I'd take a moment and give a quick overview of what's coming up in the Cavaliere Program.
Cavaliere Focus Group
Saturday 11 January, 2:30 - 4pm
We're taking advantage of the winter lull in classes to look at where we've come from and where we're going. Whether you're a regular rider, a lapsed knight, or someone who's just been curious about the Program, we want to hear from you. What would you like to see happen in 2014 and beyond? If you'd like take part in this meeting email me at jennifer (at) academieduello.com.
Open Barn and Work Party
Sunday 19 January 1 - 4pm
Although there are no classes in January, you can still get some horse time at Open Barn. The cost is $10 to ride a school horse, or free if you chip in part of your time at the work party. The focus this time around: attacking the blackberries in the front while they've been tamed by winter!
Intro to Mounted Combat
Sunday 3 Feb, 10am - 1pm
Get started on your road to knighthood! This introductory course will give you a taste of all aspects of our program, including riding, horsemanship and swordplay, all in one morning. Classes are limited to 10 participants so don't delay signing up if you want to get a head start on the year. $149.
Mounted Combat Workshop
Sunday 3 Feb, 1pm - 4pm
Our regular Mounted Combat workshop features warm up and swordplay from the ground followed by drills from the falsemount and the ground, and for those with Riding Level 1, from horseback.
Cavaliere Classes
Sundays, 9 & 16 February, 16 & 23 March, 1 - 4:30pm
A new series of Cavaliere classes starts up February 9th. These classes are aimed at riders of all levels, and feature horsemanship, riding and sword drills.
Resident Caretaker Position Opening
A fabulous opportunity to live and work with horses while taking part in the Cavaliere Program. If you are interested in living rent-free on the property in exchange for caring for our horses contact me: jennifer (at) academieduello.com.
