Some Useful Historical Fencing Resources

The Internet has been a great boon to us as historical swordplay practitioners. 15 years ago access to resources regarding historical fencing were much harder to come by and generally required actuallyvisiting repositories of historical manuals.  Now through the power of the Internet you can have high quality copies of nearly any manuscript and the ability to connect and collaborate with others is unprecedented. Now the problem has gone from scarcity to wading through abundance. Here are a few sites I think are worth looking at:

HROARR
http://www.hroarr.com/

Roger Norling a member of the Gothenburg Sword School has been running and maintaining this site for several years and does a great job of pulling together articles,  news, and resources pertaining to Historical European Martial Arts from around the world.  Much of the focus is on the scene in Europe, which is great to get a view of especially for us here in North America.  At the time Vancouver's visiting Portuguese dignitary Luis Preto has an article up about teaching Martial Arts which is quite interesting.

Schola Artis Gladii et Armorum - Treatise Database
http://www.middleages.hu/english/martialarts/treatise_database.php

This Hungarian school fo European Martial Arts has put together a fairly exhaustive database of historical fencing treatises, bits of information about them, and where to track down online or for-purchase facsimiles. Thanks to Yan for passing this along to me so I could make it available to all of you.

Order of the Seven Hearts
http://www.salvatorfabris.com/

The website of our good friend Tom Leoni and his school. Here you'll find a collection of excellently written articles on various WMA related topics including many on Italian Swordplay with the the rapier and sidesword.  Worth checking out - a new article on German wrestling was recently posted by Pamela Muir.

Sword Forum International
http://www.swordforum.com

Periodically I direct peoples attention to this well established forum on all things sword.  The Historical European Martial Arts discussion forum tends to be lively with much discussion on techniques, new interpretations, and discussion on general news from the world of WMA.  This is also a great place to look up articles on everything from sword making to sword usage from all over the globe.
Do you have a website that you frequent for news, resources, and other information on WMA/HEMA?  If so, throw it's name and address into the comments.
