Last Sunday six participants in the Riding & Horsemanship series enjoyed the beautiful weather at Red Colt while they proved their prowess at handling and caring for their mounts in assessing Horsemanship 1. Congrats to Alex, Rick, Percy, Moutie, Kat and Tyrel who are now ready to move onto Horsemanship 2. Kat and Moutie also tested their Riding level 1 and passed in fine form.
Way to go everyone! And a big thanks as well to my Richmond Pony Club assistant examiners, Kate, Eleanor and Isabel.
The next series of Riding & Horsemanship classes will begin January 15th.
Final Mounted Combat Workshop for 2011
This coming Sunday Dec 11th Mounted Combat will be held at Academie Duello, and will offer a chance to assess Green and Blue Spur material. Winter is an excellent time to sign off combat stuff while waiting for spring weather and more riding time, and this is the last chance for a while to do Mounted Combat in the warmth of the salle. For those who already have Riding 1 and Horsemanship 1 this will be the last step you need to get your Green Spurs!
