For my students who would like to do some research and learn more outside of class (and have access to the Internets), here are some sites of note:
Forteza Fitness (http://fortezafitness.com/)
Tony Wolf's new home with ongoing Bartitsu lessons. The webpage has some great images to show off the various weapons taught and information about joining them. So, it's not a font of knowledge, but I am planning a Chicago vacation based entirely on visiting them.
Bartitsu.org (http://www.bartitsu.org/)
Here's where you'll find the Bartitsu Society, and it's all Bartitsu all the time. This is Tony Wolf's main blog where he posts new research, events, and maintains lists of instructors worldwide. You'll also find a link there to the mailing list and Yahoo! Group, which is where a lot of discussion takes place between everyone relevant to Bartitsu research today.
The Bartitsu As Lifestyle Experiment (http://bartlife.seattle-escrima.org/)
Seatle BWAHAHAHA (evil laugh acronym for The Barton-Wright/Alfred Hutton Alliance for Hoplology and Antagonistics) group.
Boxing Manuscripts at HROARR (http://hroarr.com/manuscripts_boxing.php)
I've linked to the category of Boxing and Pugilism books, but you'll find many other resources here.
A.C. Cunningham's The Cane As A Weapon (http://cunninghamcane.blogspot.com/)
Another blog, this time specifically for walking stick self defense. It is not strictly speaking a Bartitsu method because it is not descended from Pierre Vigny's methods, but can be used for supplementary ideas. Some useful video demonstrations are posted, and the instruction is clear.
Manly Skills at The Art of Manliness (http://artofmanliness.com/category/manly-skills/)
Some like this site for a laugh, but there are a plethora of short articles here on many skills that fall into the "manly" category, including: How to Make a Citizen’s Arrest, How to Throw a Knife Like Bill the Butcher, and Beat the Carnies: The Secrets to Winning 5 Popular State Fair Games (and if you've read The Bartitsu Compendium, you'll know that Barton-Wright himself gave extensive advice on How to Pose as a Strongman).
Jujitsu Articles at FightingArts (http://www.fightingarts.com/reading/get_articles.php?cat=Jujutsu)
Several well-written articles about the history and practice of jujitsu. Look around the rest of the site for excellent advice on training and principles of unarmed combat, strengthening and self-defence.
More!
I've left off many in my Bookmarks, and I'm sure you have your favourites that I've omitted. Fill up my comments section below with your favourite resources for all things Bartitsu. Let's stay away from all the Sherlock Holmes stuff, there's way too many sites.
