and I must tell you that it's awesome! I went out this morning to
support the last day of the April series and I must say I am
incredibly happy with how the program has developed. The pace was
excellent, students were working hard the entire time. The balance
between technique and conditioning was very well managed by Lead Coach
Mané Rayne and everyone looked pleasantly exhilarated throughout.
The session this morning, as on most mornings, starts with a sprint
and dynamic movement warm-up that then transitions into cutting
exercises where students move up and down the hall practicing
increasing sophisticated patterns of longsword attacks. Fridays are
power day which meant the second half of the hour was devoted to a
gruelling (in a good way!) set of stations focused on taxing you
physically and technically. I grabbed some video and compiled it
together into a peak of the stations in action by our various
students. I didn't capture any of the cutting at the beginning but I
included a small snippet of the stretching at the end.
If you're intrigued, and I hope you are, come and check out SwordFit
Bootcamp on Monday at 7am. You are welcome to check it out for free
and see if it's something you want to add to your mornings.
