Yes, when done properly. Our instructors are highly experienced with live blades. We provide thorough safety training before any cutting, and all participants must follow strict protocols. Sharp swords are only handled under direct instructor supervision.
We use a variety of sharp cutting swords including Japanese katanas, European longswords, and sabres. Your instructor will help you find the right sword for your size and cutting style.
We use squash and other vegetable targets—they provide satisfying resistance and make a spectacular mess when you slice clean through. All targets are included in your session.
No prior experience needed! We provide all the training you need. However, this experience requires focus and the ability to follow safety instructions precisely.
We need time to source and prepare fresh cutting targets for your session. This ensures you get the best possible experience.
