The Art of the Rapier
The rapier emerged in the late 16th century as armor fell out of civilian use. With a long, thin blade optimized for thrusting, it became the preferred weapon for resolving disputes of honor.
Our system emphasizes four key principles:
- Tempo — Awareness and control of the key moments to strike
- Geometry — Optimal positioning of your weapon and body
- Distance — The right technique at the right range
- Mechanics — Strong alignment of body and blade
