Duello Armizare
A unified martial art drawing from 300 years of Italian combat methodology
One Art, Many Weapons
Duello Armizare is not a collection of separate skills—it's a complete martial system where each weapon reveals the same underlying principles.
You begin your journey through either Rapier or Longsword. As you progress, you'll naturally expand into sidesword, polearms, wrestling, and armoured combat. Each discipline reinforces and deepens your understanding of the others.
Our curriculum is built on the teachings of historical masters—Fiore dei Liberi, Salvator Fabris, Achille Marozzo, and others—whose fight books form the foundation of our practice.
Universal Principles
These fundamentals transcend any single weapon
Tempo
The mastery of timing—knowing when to act and when to wait. Every exchange has its moment.
Misura
Distance and measure. Understanding the space between you and your opponent is fundamental.
Geometry
The angles of attack and defense. The blade creates lines that protect and threaten.
Tactics
Reading your opponent, provoking reactions, and capitalizing on opportunities.
Six Disciplines
Each weapon is a doorway into the complete art
Rapier
Beginner EntryThe elegant duelling weapon of the Renaissance. Master precision, geometry, and the art of the thrust.
Longsword
Beginner EntryThe knight's weapon, wielded with two hands for powerful cuts, thrusts, and dynamic grappling.
Sidesword
The versatile cut-and-thrust sword of the Bolognese tradition, paired with buckler, rotella, or dagger.
Polearms
Staff, spear, and poleaxe—the weapons of reach and power from the battlefield.
Wrestling
Unarmed combat rooted in Fiore's Abrazare—grappling, throws, joint locks, and dagger defense.
Armoured Combat
Fighting in harness—where technique adapts to steel protection through half-swording and grappling.
Built on Historical Masters
Our curriculum draws from centuries of documented martial tradition, preserved in the fight books of Italian masters.
